Who We Are

US Archaivarian is a well-cultured comradic community of “ARCHIVARIANS” of Kegite Club International (USA and Canada) with cultural morals and intellect.

Mission:

  • To promote uniformity amidst diversity.
  • To promote, protect and preserve African Cultural Heritage in the diaspora.
  • To care and cater for members, network and prepare solid ground for members that will be coming to the United States, thereby unifying comradium in all states.
  • To support the need through charity, providing welfare for members, both home and in diaspora.

Vision:

  • See US Archaivarians attain a higher height in life through networking, and providing necessary links and ideas for personal growth and development.
  • Create a brand that will be distinct and harmonize all kariable souls in the United States – have one unique regalia with the same front, and varying backs according to the state’s icon/name.
  • Have a form of financial empowerment for members (through thrift and individual contributions).
  • Have a  “House“ for US Archaivarian in a state seen as the center in the United States of America.

Our History: The Journey So Far

The story dates back to 2016 when Chief Ebun-Ojalatan Williams (Tashere Kwateco) attended Chief Olumide Ogunwomoju’s wedding, and discussed with him how they can get the profiles of all kariable souls in the United States of America. This conversation was on till the year 2017 when Chief Matthew Oladele (Ironbenda) arrived, Chief Tashere shared this idea with him on how to bring everyone together under one platform.

The three chiefe6 started collecting contacts of kariable souls in the United States and Canada, and created the US Archaivarian group to harmonize these ntts. So the discussion of a major event came up – to have one big gyration where ntts all over the world can attend. Towards the end of 2017, a committee was constituted to plan that gyration. The first committee comprised the following: Chief Musa Idris (Ab Bensu 1998/1999 as the Chairman of the committee), Chief Ebun-Ojalatan Williams (Tashere Kwateco – Ab Kwateco 1999/2000), Chief Olumide Ogunwomoju (Olujersey – Ab Lisabi 2007/2008), Chief Matthew Oladele (Ironbenda – Ab Oyemekun 2007/2008), Chief Akinrosotu Imoleayo (Ab Fedeco 2007/2008), Chief Michael Iyanda (Ab Zauzau 2006/2007), SF Mayowa Okunboye (Archaival Kord Quarry Convergence), and SF Princess Smith (Helteco Ilese).

This committee planned and designed a structure that will span for 3-5 years on how the activities of US Archaivarian should hold. This committee also gave the name and the date for this annual gyration – United States THANKSGIVING WORLD GYRATION to be held at every Thanksgiving Holidays of the United States of America. Also to be rotated across different states in the USA, after which a convergence should spring up from the hosting state and be officially blessed. 

The maiden edition was held in Baltimore, Maryland and second edition Houston, Texas where the entire US Archaivarians unanimously agreed to set up the Board to govern the activities of US Archaivarian. Chief Taofeek Gbolagade Rahman (Descent Ariwajoye OGBORIEFON 1ne – Ab Ula 86/87 Keg Year) was selected to chairman the board with other members selected from different states represented in US Archaivarian. In the last few years, we’ve had convergences spring up in many states – DMV Convergence (Maryland), Garden State Convergence (New Jersey), Land of Lincoln Convergence (Illinois), Raceway Convergence (Indiana) and Texas Convergence (Texas).
