In 2025, under Texas skies, we stood in Fort Worth and declared our “Unbroken Spirit.” Despite the miles between convergences and continents, we proved that the bond of the kariable souls remains unshakable. That spirit didn’t nepalize after Fort Worth — it has been gathering momentum ever since.
This Thanksgiving, we announce the 8th Annual Thanksgiving World Gyration, as the US Archaivarian family converges on Indianapolis, Indiana, under a theme that carries our story forward:
“Odogwu Momentum: Unstoppable Unity, Infinite Diversity!”
This is beyond imbibing holy water and gyrating; it is the sound of a movement that refuses to stand still.
From an Unbroken Spirit to an Odogwu Momentum
An unbroken spirit is a spirit that has been tested — and every karid soul knows that resilience is only half the story. What do you do with a spirit that refuses to break? You give it momentum. An Odogwu isn’t just a big man — he’s the one whose arrival changes the temperature of the room, whose presence commands respect without asking for it. INDY-2026 is our Odogwu moment: the year our unity stops being merely unbroken and starts being unstoppable.
Unpacking the Theme
Every Ilya, every convergence, every Chief, Fellow, Patron and Matron scattered across diaspora carries a piece of home wherever we plant our feet. Infinite Diversity is the truth of who we are — different Ilyas, different professions, different states, one otuleh. Unstoppable Unity is what happens when the Agogoringa sounds and every one of those different threads answers sunnyAde, at the same junction-J & time-T. That, is the Odogwu Momentum — very nattygbomik and highly wogged.
